There should be a packing slip inside the packages, at least some of them. When a return is processed, eBay generates a packing slip, and the buyer is supposed to put it inside the package when it is returned. That should have the seller's user ID on it, or at least the item number.

I see why this would be irritating as one doesn't want to be implicated in something.

That said, items shipped to you in error are apparently legally considered to be "gifts!" So they are yours to keep.

I suspect a seller that is so inept as to have that many returns as well as unhappy buyers because items show a delivery scan as 'returned' and seller is likely fighting it, well that seller isn't likely to last very long in this game.   Thus I can't imagine this situation could continue for more than a few months!

Just remember you are under NO obligation to do anything with the items you have received.  Certainly do not spend your own money sending them back.  If the seller wants them back they can send you a prepaid label for the shipping.  Otherwise if you don't want the items, donate them where they can do some good!

The shipping labels on the packages, should have a return address.  If nothing else you could send snail mail to the sender, explain the situation and ask them to provide you with the seller's name. Perhaps that is one way to 'discover' the name.  Or just sit back and wait for this circus to solve itself.

...................general reply....................

lets not get ahead of ourselves and blame the inept ebay seller.with ebays tech problems I know things can go wrong.I recently had a buyer from overseas who told me that ebay input one of his old addresses when I shipped,it had no street address and took months to come back to me.I made sure that ebay reimbursed me for the stupid old address label with no street on it,i mailed it that way,I mean come  on,who examines every single lable that gets printed

I have no problems in beliving that ebay could be the blame for this

they do not have the ability to do what they say they can do,that is quality control

why have stuff that does not work and is cumbersome
