So I bought an item from a seller for $40ish on 11/12/24. He/They have 100% reviews and ratings so trusted it. They provided USPS tracking. A few days later, no updates. Been communicating with him/them since yesterday since it’s been 2 days without updates. He/They assured me it will update. Day 3 comes and still nothing happened. Seller marked item as shipped. Due to arrive sometime next week? Then, at one point, saw that the listing was removed due to eBay violation?
Based on this, Can someone please tell me what they think of the direction? I’m being played? I’m being impatient? USPS updating takes a while (I usually see it update consistently).

The order shows an estimated delivery date.
If the item doesn't arrive by that date, you can go back to the order and click on the box that you didn't receive the item.
If you do get the item, you can inspect it to see if it's "as described." If it's as described, all will be good.
If it's not as described, you can open a return request choosing a "NAD" (not as described) reason for the return.
Since we don't know what the item was or why it was removed, it's hard to give more information than what I've given above.

Alberta's post has great info. I'll just add:
Sometimes USPS fails to scan my packages until they reach the buyer's local post office. It happens more often than you'd think.
While your situation does have some warning flags, as Alberta said, we don't have enough info to know if you'll receive the item as described or if the seller is trying to pull something. Your best option is to wait for the estimated delivery date and know you're covered by eBay's Money Back Guarantee for 30 days if it comes to that.
Starting the day after the tail end of the estimated delivery window, a non-receipt claim can be filed. Instructions here: https://www.ebay.com/help/buying/returns-refunds/get-help-item-hasnt-arrived?id=4042

It could be they shipped and it arrive with only a delivery scan and listing was removed by robot or competitor reporting them. It has happened where many times USPS only scans upon arrival. I would wait a week and if no scans then message again, if this is USA package moving inside USA.
Sometimes, packages are picked up and that postal office has day where system is down, no scans can be made. Then it goes to next location on a truck. If theres bad barcode or something, it might not scan in more days or until very end where it delivers to you.

It is understandable for your concerns. Don't worry and take the time to read the eBay Money Back Guarantee (MBG) which will outline how you are protected. The link below is for the eBay MBG and really should be viewed by every buyer. Don't worry.
