Hello, I've brought an electronic part on ebay weeks ago(PS Vita lcd replacement). It arrived last week but it was damaged. The glass is shattered, the metal frame was broken. I contacted the seller and they offered to refund half of it but I asked if I can get a replacement instead because I feel like I just gave away money if I accepted a half refund. They have shipped the new one yesterday, but the seller said there's no tracking number for it.
Now there are few things that worries me;
1. They said that it should arrive in four weeks, but the first one arrived in just 2-3 weeks. Are there really instances like that? I'm worried they're just buying time because the refund is only applicable 30 days after it arrived
2. What if the package that arrives is damaged again? Will I be able to refund it? The time for a refund will be over if it does arrive in 4 weeks, or will it start a new timer for the new item?
I'm worried it might arrive damaged again because the packaging only includes one layer of bubble wrap and foam, and that's a very fragile object.
Thanks for reading this lengthy post.

Yes, I was worried about getting the product after 30 days it might be because they're just buying time. I never filed a refund request of the item because the seller only offered half the price I paid for a refund. Instead I used ebay messaging to ask for a replacement ( through the contact seller button).
Thanks for the reply though. I really appreciate it. I guess the only thing I can hope for is that the item arrives in good condition, though the chances are slim if they still used the same. packaging. Also, thanks for the advice. I'll keep that in mind next time I buy
