It appears the eBay tracking does not clearly state when a shipped package is received by the eBay international processor.
On the shipments I have checked the last USPS notice for the USPS Tracking number is:
Moving Through Network
In Transit, Arriving Late
USPS packages sent to the eBay Processing Center never get a delivered confirmation.
Through eBay tracking, eventually international tracking numbers are shown, and other status messages are seen until the package gets a "Delivered" status.
eBay sellers are responsible for delivery until the USPS delivers the package to the processing center. Afterwards, the processing center is responsible for delivery/losses/damage.
Why does USPS tracking terminate with "In Transit, Arriving Late"
Why isn't a clear "Delivered (to eBay processor) or "Received" seen?
I see other status messages (through eBay tracking) that are not seen through USPS so I can assume it has been received by the processing center.
What happens when a package has been delivered by USPS but lost by the eBay processor before tracking shows start of processing (I am guessing seller will pay since USPS doesn't show delivered)?
Ascencia tracking numbers provided by eBay do not work with Ascencia tracking. Any trick to finding working Ascencia tracking?
Thanks to any sellers with answers. Wouldn't it be nice if eBay would participate in answering some questions (especially since internal processes are hidden from sellers)?

Are you saying you want to see a Delivery Confirmation scan when it gets to the IL center? That didn't happen with GSP either. It was just an 'arrived at Erlanger, KY' type scan, I don't recall the exact wording.
I had the same issue with not seeing tracking in Ascendia or whatever it's called. It took some effort, but I finally did find a way to track, let me see if I can figure it out again. It was a few weeks ago.

I checked, but I don't have another one far enough in the process right now. I sold one the other day, so I'll try to remember to check on that one.
The interesting thing is that one I sold around Xmas did not have any detailed tracking after it left the US, so I had to go figure out how to track it, BUT, after it was delivered in Japan, all the tracking then populated onto eBay. Which I find weird. It isn't there when you want to see how it's moving, but it's there after it was delivered. I don't have any I can try Ascendia tracking on right now, but from memory from a few weeks ago, it would NOT work to track on Ascendia's website, so I googled & found some sort of global type tracking service & it found it, no problem, so I got my update.
Here's what my tracking looks like POST delivery. Like I said, half of this wasn't there while the pkg was in transit. It only appeared after delivery.

I think that with the gsp it did say delivered when it arrived in Erlanger. I haven't ordered from the gsp in years but I do remember a few posts from buyers who were worried that their packaged was 'delivered' in Kentucky and they were in another country.

If you check the USPS tracking, it probably doesn't show "Delivered' and looks like the package has been lost (The GSP did show delivered by USPS). Without that USPS "Delivery" sellers will be held financially responsible for the loss if something happens to the package at the processing center and doesn't get another update (Lost - Stolen - Damaged and Tossed by eBay Processor before their tracking update).
Wish we could get a "Delivered" by the USPS. No one from eBay listening so sellers can "hope" this situation doesn't happen - if not, it's just the sellers paying (and not the eBay Processor who should be responsible). 🙄
Imagine if we had to wait for buyers to confirm delivery instead of the USPS. Potential problem(s)!

@mybigsale Ok, I must be remembering wrong, since 2 of you are telling me it did say "delivered". I didn't notice that, but I def noticed that with EIS the tracking was all missing after IL & that I couldn't tell where it was in getting to it's ultimate destination. Also, thought it strange that Ascendia's website wouldn't let me track the pkg.
I will bring it up at a Mentor's meeting to see if we can get some clarification. I'm glad the data eventually populated in eBay, but since it didn't populate until after delivery, that's not very helpful. Let me watch the one I just shipped a day or 2 ago & see if it happens the way.
EIS is supposed to have even more protections in place for buyers, but we all know how that goes. Also, just an FYI, I learned from another Mentor that EIS is all or nothing, in other words the setting is global in computer-speak, we can NOT turn it off for 1 item & choose to ship that item ourselves. It was something I was thinking about doing with this Japan pkg, since she wanted it fast & Japan is always a quick, easy ship, but apparently I would not have been able to.

@mybigsale BTW, I just checked & my USPS tracking for that same item DOES show DELIVERED in IL. Here's what it looks like:

"I learned from another Mentor that EIS is all or nothing"
Yes - I believe that is ridiculous and potentially costly for sellers. There are some items that don't even qualify for international shipping or may be high value or other reasons you don't want to sell internationally.
EIS needs to be part of shipping policies like GSP was. Why it isn't I can't imagine.
When will EIS be made a part of Shipping Policies?
With making EIS all or nothing, I guess it's cancel with reason "Problem with address" until eBay gives control back to sellers. I'd rather have a less messy solution.
=========
Checked several of my eBay International Sales. Every USPS tracking ends without showing delivery. Looks like package is lost by USPS. Eventually eBay tracking picks up and shows new tracking and delivery. Concerned if there is ever an issue during timeframe between USPS not showing delivery and the eBay Processor assigning tracking and shipping.

@mybigsale RU checking AFTER delivery in the foreign country or before? What I experienced is that it does not fully populate until after the delivery occurs by Ascendia (not sure exactly when, since I wasn't watching for it). You can see from what I posted that mine DO show delivery, both on USPS & on eBay, so not sure why you are seeing no delivery scan, unless you're checking before it fully populated.
I have another one right now, that was just shipped a couple of days ago, I'll watch that one closely & see what happens. I've linked back to this discussion, so that if we do get to ask questions, I'll try to get yours answered too.

I checked some after that didn't get the USPS update.
Even if USPS updates with delivered after the final delivery in the destination country, still presents a major problem:
Sellers are only responsible for the package until it is delivered to the eBay processor. Some immediate status (on day of delivery by USPS) is needed FROM USPS so sellers (and eBay) know they have met their shipping obligation.
1. Processor cannot provide this status update. If processor provides "Received" update Sellers will be forced to pay for lost or stolen packages after USPS delivery was made. Same as if Buyers provided "Delivered" update instead of the USPS.
2. With the delayed eBay Processor updates you describe seller will be forced to pay Not Received Claims (instead of processor) even after the package was delivered to the processor (because there is not actual status update on day of delivery to the eBay processor).
Hopefully this isn't by eBay design. eBay/Processor can definitely benefit (profit) by not letting sellers know shipment was received (on date received by them) if there are any lost/stolen/damaged package issues.

Packages do show 'delivered' as any item with a 'label' on it, once it gets to that 'label location', USPS marks it as delivered.
01-16-2023 09:38 PM
That is for the old GSP shipping program. How did you get a GSP Shipment this year?
All my international sales have been using EIS since November of last year. USPS doesn't appear to show delivered for EIS (at least in certain cases).
This is USPS tracking status for a EIS package delivered on Dec 17, 2022, through EIS (as of today):
Your package will arrive later than expected, but is still on its way. It is currently in transit to the next facility.
This is the eBay provided tracking (EIS Shipment). USPS Notification ends at "13. In transit arriving late". With USPS tracking delivery is not shown. Appear if package is lost. Tracking checked today for a Dec 17, 2022, delivered package.

My apologies, I posted this update in the wrong thread:
Sorry for my absence, it was a crazy week. @pjcdn2005 @lightningmcqueen190 Yes, my sales have been paid, same as any other.
@mybigsale I've been watching the one I just sold, now about a week ago & you are correct that the tracking looks like it just ends, here's what it looks like, below. But as I mentioned & posted, AFTER delivery, that tracking all changed & showed delivery, on my last sale, so we'll see if that happens on this one. I'll post once delivery has occured. Also posted this in the wrong thread.
Oh, one other thing @mybigsale & whoever else needs to actually track, like you, I was unable to track using Asendia's website, which is bizarre BUT several other sites that showed below on my google search worked just fine. Here's a couple of them:
https://parcelsapp.com/en/tracking
There are many, but none seem to have more info. I thought I had found one the other day that had more info, but I can't find it now, sorry.

Just an update on my current EIS package. The tracking HAS updated (looking in eBay) to show movement in Canada, even though it has NOT been delivered yet. This did not happen with my Japan pkg. It didn't show the movement in Japan until after delivery, when it all populated in the Tracking. Not sure if it's country specific, but it has several more entries from my post the other day, all from Canada & CAN Customs. I fully expect it will update with a Delivery stamp, but will keep watching & post deets.
