On the "selling" page they state that because of the "unannounced" holiday, late shipments won't be counted against you, and negative feedback will be removed. I'm betting there will be thousands of calls needing to be made. I had 4 packages to go out today. They "should" be OK.... the orders came in overnight. I'm on guaranteed delivery also, there is a little wiggle room in that, but not much. I just wish there had been an email sent out. I ran these up to the post office when I saw the mail had not been picked up and it was getting late.

eBay posted an announcement late on the 4th about the Holiday.
Defects may appear on accounts in the short run but should be removed on the rating day 12/20. or so they say.

Why would the USPS need to close down for an entire day for a President's passing, especially when it's only a few weeks until Christmas?? Ridiculous. Shipping has been excruciatingly slow the past week, I have Priority Mail and First Class items STILL working their way across the country that I dropped off the morning of the 1st!!!

Federal offices and Wall Street always close for a past President's funeral. The last time was on 2 January 2007 with the passing of Gerald Ford.
Perhaps we should inform our current President and remaining living former Presidents that they can't die during a holiday month so as to not inconvenience the public.

Yes it is a major inconvenience to the public to shut down USPS for an entire day less than 3 weeks before Christmas. It is not only a major inconvenience, it is totally unnecessary. Any time of year, really. But especially now. None of these USPS employees will be attending the funeral or curled up in bed at home sobbing into their duvets over the death of a former President.

The USPS has nothing to do with what Holidays they observe. Congress mandates most of these. A day off results in lost productivity and a great expense to the USPS. But I don't believe observing a President's passing is too much for our country to handle and they should be respected. Everyone's Amazon bling can wait one more day. The world will not end if your packages are delivered the next day.

Nice answer.

As opposed to you curled up in bed at home sobbing into your duvet over one additional day you have to wait for more stuff you cannot take with you when you pass? Get a heart. One freakin day.

I just saw a late shipping because of this holiday. I guess I will call eBay to fix my seller dashboard deficit.
