FEDEX put the tires ($488.88) next the garbage bin to take picture , to prove they delivered the tires .I live in the back apt 50 feet from the garbage bin. when i i received a notification ,i went to see there is no tires .
For me the guy from Fedex stoll tires ,he did not deliver the tires to the real address .
EBAY and SELLER they don't want to give my money back.
Just careful a signature is no required under $750. if you don't get you package you lose you money.
I WILL NEVER BUY FROM EBAY.

If this happened today I'd call the sanitation company as they could have taken the box since it was next to the trash bins. If this happened a while ago then you're probably out of luck. Seller is not responsible, but you may want to keep pushing FedEx for the $500 if they literally delivered the package "out with the trash."

I get packages from Fed Ex and they are only worth a few hundred dollars. I am usually asked to sign for them. Plus my packages are never left behind. My doorbell is rung. Fed Ex doesn't just leave your packages when no one is around. Plus there are notifications day of delivery and when it is delivered. I never saw a Fed Ex person who takes photos...only signatures are requested.
This sounds more like something Amazon would do..just my opinion.

So you are blaming the seller and eBay for something that FedEx did or the trash company did? Makes no sense, but okay.

Sure they do. I've never had Fedex or UPS ring my doorbell for anything. They drop the stuff at the front gate and go on their way.

Fed Ex just leaves stuff at more door and never ring the bell. Some drivers leave stuff on the front porch, some at the back door.

They leave packages all of the time on my doorstep. They do not knock. Those items are stuff that my sons ordered and they have been lucky that I am home .
To the poster, your seller is NOT responsible. It's up to buyers to provide a safe location for their mail to be delivered. I would most definitely place a sign back there to alert future FEDEX (and UPS ) drivers to NOT leave packages there.
DO what the others stated. Maybe the sanitation company got the box. Or maybe a neighbor stole your tires. Look around and see if someone has new tires on their car.

People who say the buyer didn't have a safe place for the shipment are making a ton of assumptions.
WMT uses Fedex, and I have purchased a few items and on multiple occasions, they deliver my item to a neighbor. Found 2 sitting on nearby porches. Is that my fault? '
It's a really bad position to be in. I understand the frustration, and I've never used Fedex because I've personally witnessed them do so many things wrong.
Not once has my UPS packages from AMZ had any issue.

You mentioned living on back apt, 50 feet from garbage bin, goods are 4 tires, most likely they can block regular delivery location. If delivery picture shows the 4 tires in garbage bin area, I will pursue claim against FedEx asking why place items with the trash, which can be confused as trash in itself, and the sanitation dept. removed them, or a local neighbor may have repurposed them. I mean, If I see 4 new tires with labels in the trash, what am I to think.
This is not a seller or eBay fault, but delivery carrier driver fault. You should really claim against FedEx.

I can totally understand the frustration.
Ebay sees the transaction as completed. Nothing more to be gained talking to them.
The seller shipped to the address. Tracking verifies that the items arrived at the address, the seller's job is completed. Whether or not they help is up to them, but they aren't obligated.
Fed ex... Dropped your tires in a lousy spot, and that is where your concern lies, and who you need to contact. They were the last hands to touch your tires, and if they screwed up, they need to fix it. that's where the blame lies.

...and their own photos prove that they dumped the tires in a wildly inappropriate place. Go after FedEx and keep pressing them for a settlement.

Is your doorbell @12345jamesstamps 50 feet from the front door?

Just checked my last 4 FedEx deliveries. All had photos.
2 with the package inside the door where the regular guy puts stuff.
Other two, photo of the front of the garage. I saw the driver take the photo.

All of my FedEx and DHL deliveries have photographic confirmation, without exception.
