My listings only ship to the US, New Zealand and Australia. But i just had two items sell to a Chinese buyer. When I went to send the invoice all of the shipping selections are international and their listed address is in Beijing. I told them that i dont ship to China and ebay should not have allowed them to choose a China shipping address. I have given the buyer until midnight tomorrow to update their shipping to a US address or I will cancel the sales. I double checked my listings first and China is not an option on either. Just out of curiosity I was going to price the shipping but when I tried to do so ebay shows "no services available" for shipping options.
How did this happen? How do I stop it from happening again?

There's no need to automatically send an invoice to a buyer. This buyer might have a US forwarding address that they can use. Just wait to see if they pay with a US address.
IIRC you can go to your Site Preferences to automatically block bidders/buyers whose primary eBay address is in a country that yo don't ship to.

Where is that in Site Preferences? When I googled this somebody mentioned it but I couldnt find it.

It is under buyer requirements but China looks to be blocked already so the buyer must have an alternative address.

I had this happen. They used a U.S. address to bid and a Japanese address for shipping.
I did go ahead and ship. It was an expensive item. There were problems with not getting a delivery scan and I had to track the scan down which took 2 months. In the future, I will cancel the sale using the problem with address option. Not worth the headache to me.
