I bought an item, which was sent to my courier without an invoice, now the item is withheld. I have tried to contact the store on Ebay but they have never responded to my messages. I do not know what to do now. I need the invoice of the article

Can't you show the courier the page on ebay that shows the item and the price that you paid? If you used paypal, can you show them the page that shows the payment for this item? Perhaps you can print both pages and show to the courier or email it to them.

What 'courier' was used? Is the package addressed to you? Why does the courier need an invoice? I'm confused...

Why would your courier need an invoice? I don't provide invoices for USPS and they don't ask for them. I hand them packages with the appropriate shipping label and off they go to be delivered. Where are you located that a courier would need an invoice? Your message is rather confusing...

You could also print one by going to My eBay, purchase history.
"which was sent to my courier without an invoice"
Do you mean shipper picked when you bought the item? or did the seller use a shipping service not shown in the listing at your request?
While the OPs profile shows they are located in the USA, this courier references seems to point in a different direction because it sounds like the seller did not include an invoice for the customs paperwork for reshipping to non domestic address which would be the only reason I could see it being needed.
I would think that the seller/shipper would need to provide that information, not the receiver.
If not in the USA, it is ok to sign up on the .com site but need to show actual country living in.

They need an invoice to charge duty. That has the price on it. It should have been included.

Not if it was a domestic delivery.
