I would like to start a topic regarding Ebay sellers using a private couier "My Hermes". Is it just me, or are there any other sellers or buyers having problems with this company?
On Ebay, i bought an item, and the seller posted the item with "My Hermes", and they have lost it.
I know it is the seller`s responsibility to post the item. I have tried to help the seller, and this is what i am up againt.
1] When i telephone My Hermes on 0300 808 5456. It is an automated telephone system, and it failed to
recognise the reference number needed to process further. The sell has the same problem
2] If i make an official complaint. I am asked to telephone 0330 333 6556. Again an automated telephone
system, telling me the number has now changed to 0330 808 5456. The automated system then asks me,
am i the seller of the item, or the buyer of the item. When i reply "NO". It cuts me off. My complaint is not
dealt with, and ignored. This is unprofessional, and bad customer service.
3] A shop near me, who is an agent for "My Hermes", also tells me they are unable to contact "My Hermes".
I have had a few bad experices now with sellers using "My Hermes", and i now reuse to bid on Ebay items if the seller uses this couier.
I can understand now why Amazon.co.uk, i beleive employ their own private couiers to deliver their own parcels.
Ebay, i know you have people who read these forums. This is an area i think you may want to look into.

It looks like; they have a Chat screen. Have you tried that?

As a buyer, I think the best thing to do, is use the MBG and let the seller deal with the carrier.
Not sure what you want Ebay to look into, they have nothing to do with the carrier.

You are on the USA ebay site. You need to ask this on the UK ebay site. We do not use this service here.
Ebay can not control a courier anyways.
Just file the item not received claim against the seller to recover your money.

Thank you for your reply. I have not tried the chat screen. However, the seller has, and still did not get anywhere regarding the missing parcel.

Thank you for your reply. I really wanted the parcel [Rare collectors books]. I am very disappointed "MY HERMES" lost the parcel. This is why i tried to help the seller.
Yes, it is true Ebay cannot control the couiers. However, perhaps Ebay could warn sellers and buyers not to use "MYY HERMES" to avoid disputes and refunds. I have now read other posts, and it would appear it is a common problem with "MY HERMES" with lots of parcels going missing.
The seller has kindly refunded my money.
