I recently won an auction for a collectible piece of pottery. I have been following the item as it wends its way through the USPS. Strangely, today the item has sprouted 3 different tracking numbers. Anyone have any idea why that could happen?
Actually, that's just my Airsheep picture that disappeared when the board was overhauled a couple of years ago. One of the other boardies made it, but hosted it on their site, and the link got broken.
Broken into three parts could explain it. No just kidding. Where did you get those extra numbers from? Ebay allows sellers to enter more tracking numbers but not remove any. Could be they entered some on the wrong item?
Had a seller a while back that was reusing the Print Another Label feature to buy postage on eBay for other things that he was shipping. I kept getting eBay notices that my item was shipped and a different tracking number each time. Looked it up on the USPS website and the packages were going all over the country. Finally figure out that he was just changing the buyer's name and address, not realizing that it was sending me notifications. Guess he just wanted to save a few bucks.
