Lompoc 2 weeks ago and multiple times yesterday
(Lompoc is my hometown)
I take it each time it is scanned it puts out this generic message, nothing specific to in/out/delivery, etc.

In America, the phrase "In Transit" is used by the USPS as a generic filler when there hasn't been a scan by any USPS system in the last 18-24 hours. It usually appears once per day.
