I know this is not a thing, but it needs to be. Every single package I have sent to Miami Florida the last 4 weeks has not arrived. How do we go about these suggestions to eBay? It sure would make my life a lot easier. My personal opinion is that they are being stolen from within the Postal Service. I do keep a lawyer on retainer, I'll be calling him tomorrow to see if there is anything I can do, doubtful since it's government but worth a call. I'm sure I'm not the only one dealing with this. They can only blame a storm from a month ago for so long. Anyone else having these issues?

If it’s a freight forwarder in Miami, they will likely never mark it as delivered. Try to open a case in usps website for each item, my guess is they won’t let you and will give you the prompt that the items have been delivered. Of course no one there comprehends how unhelpful that info is as it doesn’t link to any tracking details, the eBay agent would actually have to try to open a case to get that info, which they won’t do.
Not the case. If USPS fails to mark it as delivered and/or provide a delivery scan then they are required to refund. I am speaking from experience. If they try to pull this notify the USPS OIG at the following link.

@doubleupdiecast wrote:Also this has been every week for the last 4 weeks, each date is different. I don't think that will tell me what I need too . I do file a USPS Inquiry for all, it takes 3-5 days and the transit states, your package is late and gives a date that it will arrive which is always 5-7 days behind the date I file the Inquiry. So I already know the inquiry is going to say they lost it and case closed.
I've had a trace filed on many shipments over the years, I've never had the outcome of a trace to say "they lost it and case closed."
You have been fortunate and I consider USPS to be VERY reliable on delivery. Up until this year I had only had a couple of actual lost items, one actually went to a FF that I really believe USPS simply did not do the delivery scan on. In EVERY instance of a lost package insurance claim USPS has approved the claim and I had a check in-hand in under 3 weeks.
As noted in a post up-thread I had a spike in lost packages back in the spring which I suspect was due to the natural disasters.
I'm really sorry you are having to deal with this. I would recommend going to www.usps.com and contacting them to file a complaint. Over the years I've had the need to do that a few times for different reasons and I've found them to be very receptive of whatever issue I've had. I do call them to voice my issues.
I sincerely hope you find a way to get this situation improved. It certainly is a serious one.

Fwiw @doubleupdiecast
In the future, any expensive items going to a freight forwarder anywhere, use UPS. They get a delivery scan everytime. None of the USPS/freight forwarder funny business with the scans.

I don't understand what this means? i still am the one left with the negative balance and have to then file for a lost item case. is this a new policy you're describing by USPS?

That's part of the process of establishing if they lost a package. It just seems odd that every item that went into the Miami main port was lost. they were all part of ebay international shipping program, that I thought provided me protections. I've sense learned that ebay only protects the buyers and always takes my funds to repay the receiver of those goods, which in itself doesn't seem right, if those packages do show up, the buyer gets free items and I get nothing. I actually had (1) honest buyer who received "Lost" item the day after I refunded them, we worked out a way to repay me.
I'm seriously leaning towards opting out of any international sales, considering its cost me $800 in the last 3 months on all of those sales. I have filed for claims but if you read the fine print on those file claims, USPS has the right to determine the value of your goods and since I deal in collectible modern diecast, they can easily say your value is $1 per item vs the collector value of $50-$100 or whatever the number, its never the retail cost. Thats the whole point of buying Hot Wheels and other collectible diecast.
I'm losing faith in both the shipping transit and international ebay sales all together.
Thank you for your response

Also in regard to the honest buyer who's item did show up the day after I refunded them. It still shows that the item is not delivered on my eBay seller's page. That is another reason I think I will opt out of all international sales after this next weeks sales. International sales only account for a small amount of my total sales each week. It was more during these last 2-3 months than it ever has been. i do think there is some sort of scam being run, it was also odd that the buyers would open a case on me days before their item was due to be delivered. Considering they too can see on the sales/Delivery page that an item is still in transit. I assume the package did show up but they claimed it did not due to this glitch in the system.
I had a package deliver to California and again the buyer was honest, this was over 2 months ago and it shows it is still in transit. He sent me pics of the box and stated the package delivered a week earlier than anticipated. eBay and USPS have a glitch that is costing me time and money and will soon cost them my international sales all together.
