I'm having the same issue with magazines. I have magazines to sell and they're not eligible for media mail rates, but everyone else indicates in their listings that they're using media mail. I just sent an email to ebay asking why they allow sellers to print media mail labels for anything in the magazines section.
Some might buy their shipping labels from another site.
In reading later posts about media mail becoming unavailable in any category other than books, it seems a few people ruined it for a lot of people. IMO, those who stir the sh!t should have to lick the spoon.
Media mail abuse has gotten out of hand. I expect it might in time only be offered to special shippers and not the general public if the misuse does not end.
It's interesting that every time I sell a video game...EBAY suggests sending it MEDIA MAIL! I would love to do this...but it is not allowed through USPS. Wondering why EBAY always lists it as the best way to ship! It needs to be fixed ASAP. That way people will not ship the "suggested" way automatically.
