Is the US mail moving in California and specifically in the San Francisco area? Is the general lockdown affecting the mail? Thanks in advance for the information

...USPS workers are checking to work as normal schedules...

...USPS in Pacific Region has been sending several phone calls to their postal employees to remind everyone to report to work, USPS facilities remain opens despite everywhere else closed...

...these are the numbers that send out their messages today, (858)674-3171, (858)472-1507...

...your mail is still delivered in your mailbox and your packages will be at your door...

...even though our Government shut down, our Postal Services is still staying active...

Southern California seems to be doing fine, though just have to go day at a time and hope that they don't freeze the postal service tomorrow.

Being an ebay business, and with the proliferation of ecommerce as so commonplace to every household now, I've realized that if the shipping industry freezes, at that point the economy truly is at a standstill.

Forgive me, but, aside from emergency services - police/fire/medical - few things are more critical to the economy than the USPS and the shipping networks overall -- what have I missed?

When I see my postman; when I see the USPS workers at the post office, I've never had more of an appreciation for them than I do right now; like, "my god, these people are keeping me alive".

Millions of Americans depend upon the USPS to deliver prescription medications and other health related items along with their monthly bills and magazines.

The USPS will not let us down, the mail will be delivered, but perhaps slightly delayed in some instances.

Remember 9/11?  The mail was halted for a couple of days out of an abundance of caution and necessity but got moving again relatively quickly.  If necessary the National Guard can be activated to assist in ensuring vital mail gets delivered.

Here in Southern California - mail is still moving.

I have the highest respect for my mail carrier. I see her delivering the mail at 8:00 at night in the rain. I see her having to manage the cars parked in front of the ganged mailbox because people are inconsiderate and refuse to comply with her requests to leave the spot in front of the ganged mail box open. I tried to get the city and the HOA to mark it red to help her but they were useless.

As stated by an earlier poster - my husbands essential meds are delivered by mail. I am both selling and buying online to make every effort to abide by the "safer at home" order.

I have always been impressed by the USPS mail service. I have had packages lost - but found one after 4 months!  Some took a scenic route - none ever lost forever.  When I have had a problem, they have been responsive.

More than ever, I appreciate their free front door package pick-up service.

I am grateful to the efforts of every USPS employee who is making essential mail move every minute of every day during this pandemic.

There are so many people who are key to essential services that make daily life manageable.
