Lost usps package

A package with sold fragrance got lost. It was sent by priority mail, last scanned on Nov 13  and then silence. My concern is that is a fragrance. Ebay doesn’t prohibit list,  sell and ship fragrances, at least I was able to do so. How to deal with Usps? Did somebody had a similar problem?  Can I still file a claim with Usps, or better not? Do I have to mention a fragrance in the claim?  Please advise how to deal with situation like that?

There have been some shipping carrier delays. Your item may not be "lost".

You could do a "mail search" without being specific on the contents. Lost mail claim would be different.

The claim form has a spot for description of what was shipped.  Not sure how vague you could be.

A claim would likely require that you state what the item was to claim a value of loss.

Not sure if shipping something by Priority Mail that is not allowed to be sent using that service would interfere with the process.

Not allowed to send perfume/fragrance by priority mail.  Don't know what you need to do next.
