Lost parcel?

A parcel that's been shipped from the United States on January 3rd this year now has the status "Unable to deliver - OTHER". 

I tried to track it down via the order number and apparently the last known location was the airport in Amsterdam on January 5th, but then it received the "Unable to deliver - OTHER" status and nothing has changed since. Does anyone know what that means?

The package is not lost. It was just scanned yesterday. Best guess from tracking is that it's on its way back to the GSP. It will not get returned to the seller.

 

You'll have to wait until the package is returned to the GSP or see what happens with tracking.

 

What was the estimated delivery date on the order?

 

It's hard to say whether you'll be eligible for a refund because we don't know what the problem is. If it was an address issue then you wouldn't be covered under standard eBay policy, but you had other packages come through so maybe the address wasn't the issue.

 

Either way, if the package is returned then the GSP should take care of the refund - it would not come from the seller. Wait to see what happens then come back and let us know. If you need to file a claim we can help point you in the right direction.

I’m just taking a wild guess but, it sounds like it was undeliverable and maybe returning to you if you’re  the seller.

I'm seeing 2 recent scans - one says unable to delivery and the other says unknown return.

 

Best guess: issue with the address and the package is being returned.

 

Since this went through eBay's GSP program, they will be responsible for any refunds to the buyer.

Thank you for the fast reply.

 

I'm the buyer. The parcel was shipped along with 3 other parcels I received yesterday (all from different sellers, but they were all shipped on the same date). I have absolutely no explanation what exactly went wrong with this particular one. 

 

If it's actually lost or gets returned to the seller ... am I able to get a full refund (inlcuding shipping costs etc.)?

It was said to arrive by january 20th, so I'll definitely wait some time before I try to get the money back.
