Lost package

Hello. I sold my first item on eBay. It is work about 8k but I needed the money so I sold it for just over 3k. Now the package has disappeared. I sent it to another country. The last thing tracking says is that they tried to deliver it with no answer and will try again. This is 2 weeks ago. Based on my research somehow I’m responsible for this and need to refund the buyer if it really is lost. What the heck? No bloody way. What happens now?

thank you

But what if it doesn’t end up with anyone?

Okay, I'm not understanding this.

Your listing states "ships to US", and it also says it will ship to the authenticator and then they ship to the buyer. I'm not sure the Authenticity Guarantee kicks in if the buyer is overseas, but as I said, according to your listing you only ship to the US?

Did you ship direct to the buyer? What country?

The listing shows you only ship to the US.

Where did you get the address to ship it to another country?

Have a great day.

When the guy bought it and I clicked on his his info and shipper address I used that and he confirmed it as well.

I shipped to Australia. I didn’t realize it said it only shipped to the US. I do have the tracking code which shows it was in Australia and they tried to deliver it but no one answered the door.

Sorry to say, if you didn't ship to the address on the order, you'll be refunding.

When the buyer paid, they would have to provide an address in the US on the order.

Have a great day.

Sorry, but tracking isn't going to help any if you changed the address.

Have a great day.

I didn’t change the address. I used the address on the order. The one eBay gave me.

With an Australia address, the buyer would not have been able to pay, because the watch only shipped to the US.

Have a great day.

This is the sort of worry that those of us who use Ebay International Shipping (EIS) do not have to be concerned with.

Once it reaches the Ebay Shipping Hub, Ebay is responsible for safe delivery, and will handle refunds.
