I am a seller, I sold an item and bought the UPS shipping label through Ebay. UPS lost the item. File a claim. First I could not file the claim because UPS considers EBay the shipper since they have the account with UPS. I finally figured out how to file the claim (with Ebay rep's help). UPS indicates that Ebay is the shipper and any $ from the claim will be issued to Ebay. If the item is found it will be returned to Ebay (not to me - the seller). I have spoken to 7 UPS reps as I have been dealing with this claim for over one week. All of them have told me the same thing - Ebay is the shipper and owner of the account.
Has anyone experienced a similar situation ( UPS lost item on shipping label bought through Ebay) ? How was the situation resolved?
