Went to ship today's packages, and not only am I forced to use this new **bleep**tastic shipping page which hangs, locks up, wastes screen space among other complaints, but now Legal Flat Rate Envelopes are no longer a shipping option! I ship half my products in Legal envelopes!
Whats going on? Thinking of running my inventory out and then stopping eBay. This is out of hand. It's also getting difficult to compete with the Chinese sellers, who can not only sell cheaper, but also sell an item, and ship it to the USA, for just what an item costs me for shipping WITHIN the USA.

It doesn't show up on the main shipping page choices, but next to the "Custom Size" button there's a "Carrier Packaging" option. Click on that and you'll see the Legal FRE come up in the choices.

maybe the buyer purchased an expedited service like overnight express? could that be why you can't see it? It may just be hidden as they changed the location of the regional rate A and B boxes which i use a lot.

Have you considered using pirateship as an alternative for flat rate and import your eBay orders there?
Its on the top menu (first image). If you also add it to a second menu of custom choices (second image). In this example I've added the commonly used top and side loading regular priority mail boxes to the second menu, but you can add anything you regularly ship there.

You rock. I don't ship Legal FRE often, and am just now discovering that it's not in the main shipping option screen anymore, so I'm glad I came here to see what was up with that. You just saved me from having to pay post office rate! Thanks!

LOOKS LIKE THE STANDARD FLAT RATE OPTION IS GONE AS WELL...

Yes they do! If the item is under 70 pds and fits in the envelope it qualifies for the envelope.
OP I also use these envelopes. When you ship just choose the flat-rate envelope a d use the legal. All that will change is the postoffice will charge the few cents difference to your paypal a count automatically in a week or two. Just os if you make a mistake on your first class package. Weather in your favor or theirs they will either issue a refund for the over-payment or a deduction for the under-payment.

Ok, now I am absolutely positive that before I left that message about the eliminated option to use standard FRE, but after posting that message, I went to re ship the label and it showed right up!

USPS has new equipment at their sorting centers which detects underpaid shipping. If the postage label has been purchased online, then postage due is automatically charged to the account that purchased the postage. The recipient never even knows it happened.
