I had one day handling time forever it seemed. Got sick a few months back and ended up in the hospital. Sent one item out one day late. Okay no big deal.
Our largest local post office just put in a self scan kiosk. I thought this is great! No more standing in line. Yesterday scanned and dropped off two EIS orders in their designated flip open secured bin. Got my rapid drop off receipt. There has been no acceptance scan on eBay or the USPS website. Someone probably didn't scan them for an acceptance scan. Sorry for the rant but I am really annoyed.
I now have two day handling and will stand in line.

Kiosk scans count on eBay. Do you see the scan on USPS.com ? If you do, it will populate to eBay - occasionally there's a delay with scans populating. It shouldn't count against you at all.

No. Nothing on USPS. Went there this afternoon and they said the mail person who handles this will not scan them as accepted since they are going to another hub! The clerk did take this issue to the manager who said I have to wait to see if there is a scan tomorrow and if not go back. This is a new process for them he stated.
So two days so far no acceptance scan on eBay or USPS.
Starting to wonder if the worker could just walk off with as many unscanned packages they want since there is no accountability and no scan.

'will stand in line'...I learn a lot from others who are mailing items.
I do eavesdrop instead of playing on my iPhone with interaction between customer and clerk.
And sometimes I get 'free entertainment' when the customer argues with the clerk.
As a Chinese woman once walked into the post office to buy a stamp and gave the clerk a $100.00 bill and the clerk tried to tell her he doesn't have change for that and she only understands Chinese or pretends to.
It was quite entertaining. I was just missing the popcorn🍿

Sounds like there's an issue with the kiosk at your post office @catjewels9876 . Most of them register the scans right away. I've never had a problem using them.
Work out whatever you need to deal with the situation as it currently stands, and hopefully in the near future your post office will get their act together.
USPS is kind of a mess right now with all the damage caused by the "Delivering for America" program.

Thank you @wastingtime101 . Yeah they probably have to work out the bugs. Maybe they don't have the settings set up right yet? Or the right processes in place. I will see what happens. Perhaps try it again next year if I get the nerve.

You can test it as often as you like. You said your plan is to wait in line, right? There's nothing stopping you from scanning one of your packages at the kiosk before you get in line, then having the clerk scan all your packages including the one scanned at the kiosk.
Just keep note of which one you scanned yourself to see if the scan appears on tracking. You'll see it if it does because it's a distinct scan.
