Classic news caution:
One plane crashes and it makes the front page. 1,000,000 planes land safely and no one says a word.
The carrier in question runs 275 trucks. Depending on the source and the exact definition of “owns” it is reported that FedEx has between 150,000 and 200,000 trucks. This makes the proverbial "drop in the bucket" seem like a torrent.
The carrier in question is complaining about fuel costs. Admittedly they are still higher than a year ago but down measurably from a few months ago.
This is simply a new version of “The sky is falling”.
