I sold my first item on ebay and listed it asbuyer pays shipping. When i was notified it was sold and had to ship it, i bought a shipping label excited to sell my first item on ebay and assuming i would be re imbursed when i was paid for the item. I only the amt of sold item minus the label and ebay cost pending? Was ebay supposed to email me a label instead of me purchasing it? As of now ebay is making shipping $$ on buyer and seller?

The buyer paid you for the shipping.   You, in turn, use that money to purchase a shipping label.

The buyer's payment to you includes the fee for the shipping label.  You then buy the label and the cost is deducted from the pending funds payment or Paypal

Did you ship before eBay said it was time to ship?  Do not ship before you get paid.  Shipping costs paid by the buyer do not show until the item is paid.
