Label refund

I sold a $20 item that I charged $10 shipping. The label sold at $66.99.  It was cancelled immediately, NEVER used. The package was sent USPS for $13. Has sense been delivered. I've written, called, still nothing. How long does it take or do I quit eBay for a hard lesson learned. The label posted at that amt. I didn't put that in...it didn't let me.

If you voided the shipping label, it'll take 3 to 4 weeks to receive the refund.

If you voided the original label, it takes 2-3 weeks for the carrier to approve the refund and send along to eBay and then to you.

Ebay?

This isn't a ebay issue.

This is a seller issue.

The seller mistakenly made a label that had to be voided.

It's also a usps issue.

The usps takes some time to issue a redund.

Why are you blamimg ebay?

Label refund

As @inhawaii noted, it isn't an eBay issue. I'll add that USPS has to ensure the label isn't scanned. If they issued a refund right after purchase, you'd have sellers using labels they had been refunded for.

eBay is just the pipeline through which you can purchase USPS labels (or UPS, or FedEx) at their on-line prices instead of over-the-counter retail. Not sure how you managed to get a postage charge of $66.99 (you definitely paid that much?) - did you select overnight delivery by mistake, maybe?

As long as the label was not put on a package and scanned in by USPS, your payment for it will eventually be refunded by USPS (there is no eBay involvement) after something like 2-3 weeks, once they can confirm that the label was never used.

If you actually voided the shipping label you purchased in Ebay, then you do get refunded for it, however it takes about 3 weeks as the carrier needs to be sure you don't use it.  It is not EVER immediate.

The other thing would be if it was $66.99 in Ebay [whatever carrier you selected] and only $13 via USPS, clearly there was some information you entered that was not quite correct.  The difference is pricing can only be due to different detailed data.

There is no other way to receive a refund for a cancelled shipping other than wait for USPS to check that the label hasn’t been used then issue the refund to the sellers account.
