Just joined Community. Am I in the right place to post a question regarding Ebay?

Was selling on Ebay for over 15 years with a store that is now closed thanks to Ebay.  Never had any complaints or problems in that time.  In April of this year I sold a $1,500 hearing aid.  Buyer filed complaint Not As Described, which of course wasn't true.  They gave her a refund, even though I had a No Return/Refund Policy, which I now know means nothing to Ebay, and to this date I have never received my merchandise.  I became overdrawn in my PayPal account for $1,450.00 because I already transferred the money to my bank.  And Ebay closed my store because my fees were paid through my PayPal account and could not be paid.  They never helped me with anything.  I'm out $1,500 for the item and $1,450.00 for overdrawn PayPal account, not to mention all the stress, loss of sales, etc.  I had to open a new account for Ebay and PayPal and start over and now lost my over 120 good standings.

Going to file with Small Claims Court and the Government Agency that protects and helps consumers.

So disappointed in Ebay.  I'm on Social Security and used Ebay to supplement my income.  This has taken a toll on me and added to my already existing stress.  LAST FRIDAY I HAD A HEART ATTACK!broken_heartSmiley Embarassed

Sorry to hear about your troubles.

As you have learned, your No Returns policy is only for buyer's remorse: didn't like it, changed mind, doesn't fit, found it cheaper elsewhere.  If the buyer states the item is Not as Described (the buyer hae bay's Money Back Guarantee), you should have accepted the return and supplied a return shipping label.  The buyer then has 5 business days to return the item.  If no return, you close the case.  Once the item is returned you have 2 days to refund the buyer.

If you refuse to accept the return, ebay can refund the buyer, charge your account for it, and not require the return of the item.  If you want the item back, you need to contact the buyer and supply a prepaid return shipping label.
