Today was a legal holiday and as such, there were no USPS regular deliveries today.
ETA: Post offices were closed today also.

And, as an aside, your responses were such that your buyer is going to be even more judgy not forgiving which is what you should have been striving for. With your responses I wouldn't buy from you again. And it would probably affect my feedback which, I assume, you would decry as being inappropriate even though you brought it on yourself.
The customer is always right.

You mean the upgrade that saved you $ because First Class cost less than your advertised Parcel Select shipping?
Situation was not handled well. If you're initiating contact in that situation, a message like this is all you need - no photos:
Buyer,
Post offices are closed today for a national holiday. Your package is shipping tomorrow, Tues Oct 11, when my local post office reopens. A tracking number was added to the transaction.

A customer who accuses me of waking up late, not driving to the post office, and not being on their beckon call in the evening I don't need.

Bro; no excuses. Drive to the next available state with an open post office. lol

No question the customer behaved like a (insert word of choice here) and we all dislike the current climate of entitled buyer behavior. You stooped to the buyer's level which is why you're getting a response from posters that's probably not what you expected. One professional reply and you would have "won" without having to engage in the nonsense.

If you have any additional questions, please look for a response tomorrow during business hours.

Considering I didn't have my phone next to me while eating dinner so I could immediately respond to their messages, it's the least I can do. They deserve that.

Customer is an idiot... BLOCK. I don't agree that the customer is always right, there are people you'll have great life long dealings with, and then there are those that life is too short to put up with.

I can block? Even if there is an order?

No, I meant afterward.... Doesn't sound like someone you want repeat business with.

the order is done: yet you can block them from further purchases.
