Japan post ??

So I ordered an item off eBay from a seller who has positive feedback. And my item was shipped through japan post to the USA. It was supposed to be here 5 days ago but the item is still just a tracking number. I’m not sure if it’s in Japan or the us at this point. I contacted the seller and they’re not positive what is happening either but offered a refund if the item never gets to me. Has anyone had this problem as of late?

If you do not get your package within the next few weeks or if you can see VIA tracking that the package was returned to the seller and the seller did not refund you promptly, then proceed with the item not received case.

I am just hoping that your package does make it to you and all is well for both you and your seller.

Japan post ??

There are some countries that have stopped incoming & outgoing international shipping owing to the current pandemic.

If the item does not show up by the end of the week, you may want to take the seller up on that refund.

  • Be sure that he refunds you promptly.
  • If he does not refund you by the next week/tries to give excuses,  open an item not received request...you only have 30 days past the last ETA date to open this request.
  • The seller will have 3 days to respond to the request.
  • On the 4th day, if there is no satisfactory solution on the seller's part, you can escalate the case and eBay will make a final decision and you will get your money back.

DO NOT let the case expire on it's own or you will not get your money back.  Escalate after the fourth day.

***Good luck and I hope the item does get to you and my above comment was for not.***

Japan suspended mail delivery to most of the world in mid-April, but are still delivering to a few countries (US, UK among them).  However, I suspect that outgoing processing may be slowed down due to working conditions.  I'd give it a little time, but as @hurryagain says, not too much.  I ship and receive items through Japan post on a semi-regular basis and its generally extremely efficient, and their site is easy to navigate.  There may be updates there:

Ohhhh I checked for just who they were and weren’t shipping to. But I didn’t see that ems is possibly subjected to suspension depending- I’m sorry to keep asking questions but if that happens and it goes back to the seller do I need to do anything?
