But what about my case where I paid a lot more money than what I received and I am not currently in the country to send it back , how can that be ignored , I have all my supporting documents and it's not like I'm trying to make it hard it's just the case that happened to me and how I believe I got cheated by the seller which stopped responding after he realized I'm currently out of the usa for 40 days , there absolutely should be something that can be done , at least me receiving the price difference between the laptop I paid for and the laptop I received if not accepting that after I come back I'll be allowed to return the wrong laptop or exchange it with the correct one . It just don't make sense that you buy and pay for a new Ferrari but they send you an old Mazda and there is nothing you can do because you are not available to send the Mazda back in the coming few days .
My issue is that I paid for a Lenovo laptop i7 with touch screen features and a lot of other features but I received a Lenovo i3 without touch and all other features are older and smaller ... my return was accepted but I can't do it before I return to Usa which is in 30 days from today

There are a few points missing in your post.
Did you receive the laptop in the US before you left for o/s?
If so how long after you received the laptop did you leave for o/s?
Was the laptop shipped to your current location?
Was it shipped with a freight forwarding service?
You do have 180 days from payment to file a case with PayPal.
However you may have to pay return shipping.

Did you have the item forwarded out of the country? I have to ask, if you are apparently out of the US for over a month why did you start the return processing knowing there will be a signifigantly delay in returning the item? eBay isn't going to give you a 30 day extension. The seller has the right to either get the item back in a timely manner because his funds for the sale are on hold while the case is opened.

I'm sorry, but eBay has this right.
While I totally understand that you didn't get what you paid for, you can't hold the seller's merchandise for a month+ once you start your Not As Described claim. You can send it back, but it's not going to be cheap, and it'll be on your dime.

You better have somebody else return it for you or be REAL nice to the seller and hope they accept it back after the time limit.

If the seller's return policy is 15 days it applies to returns for any reason other than not as described. So you didn't have to request to return it within 15 days. When it's not as described you have 30 days to file a claim. But no matter when the claim is requested when you're told to return it or the return is accepted you have a 5 day timeframe to put it in the mail. If there's no evidence (tracking) to support you returned it the seller can ask eBay to close the case since it wasn't returned as instructed.
What you can do is enjoy your trip, let the case close on eBay, and when you get back to the US you can open a case on PayPal. On PayPal you have 180 days to open a case in their Resolution Center.

I'm sorry, but why should eBay make an exception for you? You do know that "proof" can be manipulated, right?
As already mentioned, try PayPal once you're back in the country.

If the seller sent you the wrong item, well obviously that was not a good thing for them to do...but once you open a case, you have to follow the rules. eBay gives you get a certain amount of time to return the item.
There have been cases where people couldn't return items because they went into the hospital directly after opening a return case, and they likely could prove they had been laid up, but since they did not return the item the case was closed in the seller's favor.
