The item the seller sent had multiple major differences from what was described. I got a return for not as described and the seller sent a label. I put the label on, packed it up, and gave it to the post office. I watched the item get to the address but it said "addresse unknown" and I didn't contact the post office and it was sent back to me. I asked the seller for a good address and he gave me a new one, but I'm not sure how I should return it. Do I need a new label from the seller or do I just send it on my own and give the seller the tracking number. I don't want to have to trust the seller because they don't often don't respond, I'm not sure if the item was a scam, and the address thing is weird. I can't find where to ask ebay to step in, if I even can, because I've read if the seller sent the label I can't ask ebay to step in. I also don't know how to deal with this issue during the whole coronavirus thing. The item listing also says they only accept returns up to 30 days which would be 3/29/20, but I'm not sure if that applies to item not described returns.

You are covered for a refund because the fault was the seller's for not having their address updated. You are not required to re-ship the item at this point.
Wait until the case can be escalated and if the seller hasn't refunded you by then you can escalate the case to force the refund.
In the meantime I would reach out to the seller again letting them know you're happy to ship it to their new address if they provide a pre-paid shipping label.

I would email eBay with the issue. I also would email the seller and tell them to send you a new label. If it is truly not as described, then they should provide the label.

email ebay.
Present the facts.
As the tracking of the label provided by the seller shows it was attempted at the address provided, by eBay policy, you should be refunded.
Once refunded, if the seller still wants the item back they can send you a prepaid label to return the item.

Did you get an email from eBay saying the return was "delivered" even though it was it was sent back to you.
Also, even though your return details page doesn't let you ask eBay to step in, what does it say: That your return still in transit on its way to the seller?
