Someone wanted to return an item which I accepted. For some reason the return didn't "go through" as it says on ebay, so I had to go issue the refund on paypal's site instead. It went by e-check for some reason but it cleared after 7 days and I can see the buyer got his refund back.
However ebay didn't credit me my sellers fees. The item I sold ended at $198, so ebay took nearly $20 in sellers fees. So now I'm at a loss of sellers fees for no reason even though I issued the buyer his money back.
Is there any way to get ebay to credit me back the sellers fees?

You'll have to phone ebay to ask for a credit.

So is that the only way? I can't just click something?

As far as I know if it doesn’t go through automatically you will have to phone. You could wait for a couple of days to see if the credit is just delayed.

My ebay > Selling > Orders > All orders > More actions > Cancel order - seller selects a reason
The buyer's Paypal payment will be refunded (if buyer paid) and seller will be credited the Final Value Fee charged on the sale. ebay will send an email to the buyer to confirm the refund and cancellation. If the buyer does not confirm after 10 days, seller can close it.
Since you sent a refund via Paypal, (hopefully using the Issue a Refund in the transaction) you will not be refunding twice.
