Is this new scan lingo or just new to me?

I've never seen this one before.  Is it what shows when the seller uses a kiosk?

Yes that is how the kiosk now shows.

Funny because that seller's scan took all day to show up like mine did.  I guess they really were doing some tinkering with the tracking today.  And the seller wrote me a nervous message to let me know that she did ship.  But I found her wording slightly strange ... "it should reflect its current status. it’s been checked in at the post office" -no mention of any human involvement like "I gave it to the clerk at the post office" or "the mailman picked it up".  So already I had a feeling the kiosk was going to be involved.

Made the change in the not too distant past. Funny, had an item I dropped at the kiosk today and it was an item a buyer had already been inquiring about the shipping time on (PITA buyer). Was waiting to see if buyer would hound me more since it didnt show USPS received until later in the day

Meh tracking has been off for a bit.

 

This one came from the east coast but didn't register a scan until it got to destination hub.

Yep -- that seems to be the newest USPS standardized verbiage.  Here's the latest kiosk message from my local post office --

I'm a lot of things, probably at least half of them bad, nuts for sure, but I sure aint gonna make a dozen replies pretending an argument is about a whole other point than what other people are talking about, just because I missed a word like "not" (as in "not an OOS reason"), even after it (surely) occurs to me at some point that I missed it, just because I'm such a narcissist I can't admit that's what happened.  Jeez Louise!
