Is there a new process for filing a USPS claim? The usps website states -
Either the sender or the recipient may file a claim for insured mail that is lost, arrived damaged, or was missing contents. The person filing must have the original mailing receipt. Each claim must be filed within a certain time period and include proof of insurance, value, and damage.
Is the new process that you can have the buyer send the damaged item back, and as long as you have photos of the damaged box, you don’t need the buyer to hold onto the item or take it to the post office?
can anyone tag someone from eBay to explain if this is the new process after years of being told the claim won’t be accepted if the item is shipped back to the seller?
