Hello everyone,
I hope you all are well and thank you for taking the time to read this post. Ive only been selling a few months, so I am learning a great deal and doing my best to catch on quickly . When beginning selling I set my shipping preferences up to only allow shipping domestically and exclude international buyers. I clicked all of the other countries and read a bottom memo from eBay saying : “When you apply your shipping exclusions, we'll block buyers whose primary shipping address is in a location you don't ship to”.
Fast forward to now and I wanted to give the international selling program a try. My settings say that I’m “enrolled” in the program…though I have a question…
Will international buyers be able to view/ purchase from me if I have all of the international places “ checked” to be excluded from me shipping to them?
(I’ve attached a photo of what I’m talking about for clarification)
from the memo it sounds like a no, but if I uncheck them and a international buyer decides to purchase, it will automatically only be via the international shipping program right? I apologize for my somewhat scattered thoughts and hope this makes sense? I appreciate your time and help.

As long as those countries are excluded, those listings will not show the EIS or any international shipping.
I haven't used EIS but I would assume that if you are already in the program that EIS will migrate to your listings once you take off the blocks. I don't how quickly that happens. Until that happens, an international buyer won't be able to pay for your items as you don't have a service or shipping cost set up for international locations.

International shipping question. Do I need to “uncheck” the boxes!
Yes.
You are currently blocking (checked) every foreign country.

I have been migrated to EIS.
International buyers from countries with check marked boxes cannot purchase from me via EIS.
If you uncheck any of those boxes, and do not list with "international shipping", the listings will become available to "international buyers" only through EIS but will not show as shipping directly by you.

Thank you so much . This makes perfect sense . I will go ahead and “uncheck” the boxes . I appreciate your help.

Hi there im still a little slow on this. Im selling knives and i dont want to sell to the UK and Ireland because its forbidden as my account has been suspended for 7 days for the 2nd time in a row. So i dont want this happening again. So by ticking the box does this make it so i CANT sell to them or i CAN sell to them? and if so having the box "unticked" means i can sell to them and i will show up on their ebay site. Because im reading it as "unticked" means you dont sell to them so at the moment i have the UK and Ireland "unticked" but should they be ticked?
im sorry if these seems pretty straight forward and im not getting it but iv been on the phone to ebay mutilple times and they dont even know i hear different things from everyone i talk to so its confussing the s***t out of me.
kind regards
