So I'm in a bit of a dilemma. I sold an item back in March to an international buyer. I shipped item from U.S. to Sweden via USPS, who told me there was no tracking available for this shipping service. Fast forward three months -- seller claims item was never received. Normally I'd open a ticket with eBay, enter tracking info, and from there it would be resolved fairly easily. In this case, all I have is a receipt saying that I shipped the item, but nothing else.
Any thoughts as to possible courses of action?

Your tracking number is the Customs number... It usually starts with CF... you can track that (normally) with USPS.com

You will most likely end up refunding this buyer as you have no proof of delivery.

Sweden does not do full tracking....
If they chose First Class it will not track all the way to Sweden.
Yes, I know all about customs numbers...I've had over 50,000 transactions but thanks for the info 😉

If you shipped via priority mail, you can file an insurance claim online at USPS. If you didn't you will have to refund the buyer out of pocket. Sweden isn't listed as a edelcon country (see list in link below). In the future, I suggest insuring via Shipsurance. At least international ones. You wouldn't have to refund out of pocket then.

No problem. Unless they are on the E-Delcon list they will not have tracking on first class all the way
