I have 4 items that were sold on Last Wednesday! I had 1 business day handling. With the additional handling time, that should have allowed until today for the carrier to scan (as Christmas was a Federal Holiday). However, they Did get scanned today and I also got defects for all 4 for "Uploaded on time but no carrier scan". What is going on? Am I the only one with this issue? Will this resolve itself? How can I get this resolved? Please help

Some defects may be removed automatically within 72 hours. If yours are not you can go to the bottom of this page and open a chat session. https://www.ebay.com/help/buying/bidding/bidding-works?id=4003&st=12&pos=2&query=How%20bidding%20wor...

To meet your 'late shipment' metric, one business day means they would have had to be scanned by midnight on Thursday unless ebay is not counting Christmas eve as a business day. One day handling is basically the 'next business day' so even if they are not counting Thursday, the item should have been scanned on Monday.
But the metric you are referring to is 'uploaded on time and validated' and that should adjust itself only if you uploaded the tracking within your handling time. When did you print the label? With that metric you have to enter the tracking number within your handling time but the scan can be at any time throughout the delivery process.

There are also some intermittent problems with the interface between USPS and the eBay shipping information. It is possible USPS scanned the items but the information did not transfer over to eBay resulting in the defects. Check both the USPS information directly from the USPS web site and compare it to what eBay shows in their tracking. I have had packages showing up in eBay as USPS awaiting item but when I checked the USPS site directly the package was in transit and in once case already delivered.
Of course eBay bot software goes by what is in the eBay system and not what is actually in the USPS system. Makes no sense but a lot of things eBay does with regards to shipping make no sense. It is a process they like to think they own but in reality have NO control over, or input into.
