Occasionally when I ship to a US commonwealth like the Mariana Islands I have to print a customs form. I put in the information requested like weights and prices, but when I go to print the label the information is wrong. It shows each item as 1 oz and the price is not what I entered. Today I sent a package in a USPS Priority Sm Flat Rate box. Three items with weights 1lb 2oz, 11oz, and 5oz. Total weight 2lbs 3 oz. The customs form printed each item 1 oz and total weight 3 oz. Total price was supposed to be $52.65 but it shows 60 cents! I finally reported to eBay customer service via chat, but who knows if it will get fixed. Anybody else notice this? What the heck?

Try to use different shipping label provider like stamps.com or even better pirateship.com. The first is free for ebay users, pirate is free for everybody. Pirate has great international rates especially for parcels below 4 lbs (need to get n touch with them and ask them to sign you up for their simple international rates). Both services import your ebay orders and automatically post back tracking numbers to ebay. You can also use them to print non-ebay related shipping labels.

You are not alone! I have been reporting this problem to eBay for months, and it still happens. On 22 August I sent a package to Germany that weighed 1 lb, 15 oz and was valued at $372. When I printed the label, the label showed 4 oz and $54 value. If you make any changes at all to the eBay generated customs form, when you print, the form will be completely different. I made the corrections on the form with a pen, but I worry that the receiving customs agency may not accept it. So far my changed customs forms have gone through. COME ON EBAY, get with Pitney Bowes and fix this.
