I suddenly cannot select Calculated Shipping when using Freight

I have been selling here for 20 years. All of a sudden, Buyers cannot purchase my items that require Freight shipping. They get an error message saying to contact me for shipping cost. But, how can I give cost if I don't have their address? Also, that wouldn't change their ability to successfully purchase. I've spent almost 2 hours on phone with eBay and gotten nowhere.

On the Create Listing page - if I select Calculated Shipping, then select Freight as the method, it changes automatically to Flat Rate.   EBay customer service is no help.

How do I get to the old Create/Modify Listing page?

I’m suddenly only able to choose flat rate or free shipping, not just for freight, but anything. This sucks.

It calculates freight!? That calculation MUST be wrong. How could it possibly do that. Freight is quoted and if you get a quote one day it will be different the next day. The quote will never be whats actually billed. Is it UPS or FedEx freight? Those two are two to three times what LTL actually cost. I didn’t know there was calculated freight. I certainly wouldn’t use it.

All of my freight items fit on one pallet. Sending one pallet cost $300-600 every time. Never had one under 3 or over 6. I always book with Dayton Freight. I never know how much it cost until they deliver and send me a bill. They won’t even quote me until they have the freight.

The typical single pallet freight cost $300-400. I charge flat $500. Remember I only get a little over $400 because they fee the shipping. Its been working out great. I sent a freight yesterday. Easy peasy. No calculations necessary and Im certain the calculations would be wrong anyway. If I get a $700 bill I will just pay it but that has yet to happen.

If you are going to sell freight you really need an account with a carrier. All this quote garbage just makes it cost considerably more.

To send freight you need a forklift or loading dock. You have this yet no relationship with a carrier? That seems odd.

At any rate, a flat $500 works for me. You should try that instead of making a calculator work. That is going to undercharge to buyer and/or overcharge the freight.

For everything that happens conditions exist such that nothing else could have happened.

Have you entered the package weight and dimensions?
