I made a purchase today and i was charged for the shipping fees, although ebay.com claims that shipping is free today.

How can i make a refund for the shipping fees?

the item is 500 USD-small camera lens.

The seller determines the shipping fee on their item, not Ebay. No seller would ship free to your country.

Maybe, if the shipping fee is too much for you to absorb, you should contact the seller and ask them to cancel the transaction BEFORE they ship! That would be the honorable thing to do!

The OP is in an island country in the Persian Gulf called Bahrain.

Free shipping to there seems to be a stretch for sellers in the US. of what every this Promo was or is..
