I have a Priority Mail Large Mailing Box, what type of shipping label do I print?

I am trying to print a label to ship a large flat rate Priority Mail Box (which my customer was charged for)

I clicked on the compare all services link but there is no option for this service. There is an option for a small flat rate box, no medium or large. Do I just have to bring the box to the post office and pay the regular rate?

I was allowed to list the shipping as a large flat rate box but can't ship it that way?  Am I missing something?

Thanks, Scott

Should be a dropdown/arrow that shows more options. Otherwise, put in the dimensions of that box and the selection will get rid of the smaller one.

First off do you have a Large Flat Rate Box (12"x12"x5.5") or the Large Mailing Box (12"x12"x8").

With the former if you can't pull it up on eBay then you can always print it from PayPal.

If it is the latter then you have a zoned price box and it ships by weight and distance, not a flat rate.

You can get to it ... you don't need to go to the post office.  eBay has made the interface idiot proof, so it sometimes will not present you with all options.

  • Sometimes you need to change the dimensions (perhaps you have a dimension larger than 12 inches).
  • Sometimes you need to press links to display all options.

Click on small flat rate box and do not purchase. There will be a link to see other flat rate boxes. You may have to scroll a ways to find the one you want. Shure do miss the classic flow as it was soooo much better. Andrew

Which label system are you using?

The old one or the new?

If its the new one then there are posts in the forums on how to edit the resulting URL to possible switch back to the old one. Using the old one on a desktop is as easy as it gets - no scrolling, no multiple tabs, no hidden divisions accessed via links.

What kind of device are you using?

Which large flat rate box?

The side opening game box - 24.0625 x 11.875 x 3.125 OR the top opening 12.25 x 12.25 x 6?

The are the same cost, but can you get the items in a Regional B or a regular Priority Mail for less? The customer paid for Priority Mail based upon an estimated weight and size, not the right to have them shipped in a specific box.

If all else fails you can import your order to Pirateship - its the 5th item down on the popup menu

Thank You Andrew !! Just what I was looking for.  I don't understand why ebay repeatedly makes things more difficult.

Anthology, thanks for the post. There used to be a link on the postage page to switch back to the old way, but now it has been removed.  The other way is more complicated and has to be done for every label. Obviously ebay does not want us to use the old way even though it was much easier and much faster.
