I don't understand the eBay standard envelope method

Greetings, I am the designated dummy of the day.  I got the eBay message today about the eBay standard envelope option.

  I use templates for my descriptions. Can I add this method to my shipping policy list and if so how do I do it?

  Can I use standard 6" x 8" semi rigid mailers with this option? I have lots of postcards and ball cards. I understand the limits on weight and number of items per sale.

  If I make a sale under $20 and under 2 oz will the label print with the standard envelope rate?

Thanks for any clarification you can help me with.

Thanks, I think I got it figured out. Had a heck of a time getting my template changed.

@thingsinherited

Your rigid mailers may be way too rigid for using the eBay Standard Envelope.  The envelope must be flexible enough to swiftly slip through the USPS sorting machines -- if they are too rigid, the machines will reject them, and they'll be reclassified as USPS First Class Packages, at a higher rate (over $3.00 each).

Check with your post office regarding the flexibility of those rigid mailers before you start using them for the ESE.
