I recently moved to Puerto Rico and was trying to change my shipping address but under the drop down menu PR does not appear on the states list AT ALL. I’ve seen numerous internet messages about something like this but NO FIX. It’s crazy how ebay makes people jump thru hoops to fix something simple ON THEIR SIDE. I guess they don’t care about losing money. If can’t correct will never utilize ebay again. Does anyone have a know how to correct the issue?
Oh before anyone says it…..I am putting Puerto Rico as the STATE and Unites States as the COUNTRY….That is how its always been done. That should be the correct way (Even though PR is not a state).
I’ve added screen shots.

On my phone, it shows up, but in a weird place.
Start typing in Puerto Rico ... at "Pu" you should see it appear.

I can confirm this issue using iOS and the latest eBay app version 6.160.0.1
Unfortunately @orangehound , one cannot type in anything. The state field is purely a selection from what's offered on the screen and Puerto Rico is not there.
Can you get this problem reported please kyle@ebay ?
In the meantime @a3q8dh , I suggest going to the website, not the app, and updating your address there. I'm accessing Puerto Rico as a state just fine through the website.

Forgot to mention I also notice alot of sellers don’t ship to US Protectorates even when PR is served by the USPS. Then I see sellers charging HUNDREDS to ship a small item to PR while others charge $20-$30.
Ebay has created a situation where sellers take advantage of Puerto Rican buyers. I won’t be shopping or selling via ebay much at all anymore….Ebay is ANTI-Puerto Rico as far as I’m concerned. I will ensure to spread the word to family and friends, I’ll tell them to not even bother with ebay.
I will not call ebay as customer service has been contacted by many over the years and in 2024 they still have not done anything. They don’t care….Good riddance.

Hi @a3q8dh . Some sellers ship UPS/FedEx exclusively which could be why you're seeing such high ship costs. It could also be that the seller has a typo on item dimensions causing the inflated cost. If you view the shipping tab on the listing you may find the seller offers a choice where you can select USPS for a more reasonable rate.
Personally, I offer USPS to Puerto Rico on all of my selling accounts using (depending on the item) either free, flat, or calculated shipping and do my best to offer at least one (if not more) reasonable shipping option to all buyers, no matter where they live on this planet.
Within eBay search you can sort your search results to lowest price + shipping, which should filter out some of those super high ship cost listings, or move them to the back of the line.
