How to opt-out of the new Intenational Shipping Program

For several reasons, this isn't going to work for me. Have they announced ways to not be a part of it? I received the email about auto-enrollment so I want to prevent this from happening.

You can't prevent it. You can opt out after your account is enrolled.

I'm SOOOO happy there will be an opt-out (for now).

I've tried the international shipping and it sucks.  Period.

Here is why:  From time to time, I sell small engine parts.  Everything in the listing is clearly described.  What happens is that I'd send it off to the foreign buyer and eventually get an email "you are attempting to send a restricted item to a country where this is not allowed."  I'd have to give up the $, seller gets the $ back and the item goes off to the crusher.

Yes, really.

Why is it eBay would even allow the listing to be completed in the first place?!  Why no warning message?

There are many little things like that when it comes to international shipping ebay just cant account for. Small eccentricities for over 200+ countries that might change daily. They would have to pay someone to constantly research them, keep changing policies/site functionality, and implement programming that would alert if there was a conflict.

But they will stupidly force sweeping policies that we have to follow that rely off generalizations but functionally are a trial for the users to implement.
