I will be listing a vintage computer system that will need to be shipped in two separate boxes. I understand that the eBay shipping caculator is incapable of calculating shipping with two boxes.
Anyone have any suggestions for how to handle this? Should I just not put a shipping total and tell the bidders that shipping will be calculated at end of auction? Or should I add the amount of the second box as a 'handling fee' on the listing?
Thanks for any advice y'all might have on this.

My whole point being that there is no way to compute that using the ebay shipping calculator at the time the listing is being made. They do not provide a way to total up two separate boxes on the initial listing page.
Hope that explains it better.

Set up calculated shipping for the heavier box, then add the Zone 8 cost for the second box as your handling fee. You could mention in the listing Description that for most buyers the actual postage cost will be lower than what is shown in the listing.

partial*eclipse's way is the only way to do it.
And as you are on a coast, you have to set up your handling charge as a Zone 8 price to cover all bases.
Regular Calculated Shipping for the bigger, heavier box + Zone 8 costs for the 2nd box as Handling

OK. I'm about to list, so I will go with that plan and will also state in the listing that there will be two boxes, and that the second box is included in the handling fee. And that the final shipping cost will probably be different from what is stated.
Thank you all for your suggestions. Another learning experience for me.

Rather than specifying "handling fee" just mention that it's not possible to show an accurate shipping cost because there will be two boxes, and that the actual cost will probably be LOWER than what is shown..
