I am slightly confused and am doing my best to figure this out as I am new to Ebay but am having a hard time as I feel like a billion different things will come up that don't make sense.
I shipped an item to a buyer and in route it was damaged. They sent me multiple pictures but I don't know how to go about the refund. If they request via Ebay, then I have to pay for an additional shipping label for them to ship all of the damaged items back to me which I obviously don't want a box of broken glass. I just want to issue a refund and not request anything be sent back. In addition, does Ebay assist with the insurance that I purchased through them when I bought the label off of them to ship or do I have to do all of that through the USPS who shipped the product? and I am out the money of the cost of shipping and the product until USPS issues me an insurance refund (and that's if it gets approved, I am honestly not sure how strict they are on claims as I am not sure what all they look for and I only have pictures provided by the buyer).
Does anyone have insight on this?

Just use refund, with no return..you file for your insurance thru USPS, tell the buyer to hold onto the pkg..in case the p.o. wants to see it..to determine if it was packaged properly.

This was for the Fiesta Ware? Did you double box it?
