Hi, I'm new to listing on Ebay. I'm trying to find where I would see the shipping discount when I set up a listing. I'm using a priority mail flat rate padded envelope or flat rate box for the item. When I enter either, it comes up w/the retail cost. So where do I find the shipping discounted rate so I know how to price my item/shipping cost? I've tried to get info regarding Ebay labels, but whenever I click on the link, it goes to an Oops page.

Easiest way is to use 'flat rate' shipping and not calculated especially since you know you will use a Priority Flat Rate Envelope, as well as you will be charged the 13% fee for that shipping cost, use $10. That will cover the $8xx label cost plus the final value fee that you will be charged. ($10 minus $1.30 leaves $8.70- close enough)

you can choose to pass on the discount to your buyers or keep it for yourself
there is a setting somewhere that lets you do this.
many new sellers have trouble with the shipping calculator
if what you are shipping is the same basic weigh then it might be good to just charge a flat rate till you can grasp the entire program

Here's the eBay shipping calculator, where you can select to display either the retail ("in store") or online ("eBay) price.

Here's the official USPS rates publication, Notice 123. If you bookmark the link then you can always look up the current postage rates.

Many sellers choose to set up calculated shipping in their listings so that rates update automatically when USPS adjust their prices. If you leave the shipping calculator in your listings set to show retail rather than online rates, then the difference serves as a handling fee to help cover overhead such as fees and packaging supplies.
