There used to be a way - sales record or something - that you could check exactly what you bought when shipping an item. I think it said 0 for insurance or any other add-ons, but the closest I can find has the amount you paid for shipping. I don't remember what the item weighed so I can't even pretend to ship it again to see if what I paid was just for shipping or shipping + insurance. The USPS claim won't accept that as proof anyway. Is there a way to see this? My customer's item finally arrived after 3 weeks and the figurines feet were broken off at the base so I need to file a claim and I'm hoping I bought insurance so I can get more than $50 back.

So you don' t have a receipt at all? If you had it insured, it would show the insured amount. If there is a chance you mailed it via priority mail, it was automatically insured up to $100.
" The USPS claim won't accept THAT as proof..." What do you mean by " that"?
See a typical PO receipt. You need to have that to claim insurance.

If you bought USPS insurance, it would show up on the USPS tracking page under services or something like that. If you bought ebay's insurance, it's not mentioned anywhere except when you receive the email about it - might be on the order detail page, though.
And only TRS sellers get 100.00 of insurance for priority mail, non-TRS only get 50.00. Here, anyway. Other shipping platforms give you 100.00 insurance for priority mail, like pirateship, lowshiprate, etc..

You should have a Your eBay label is ready email, in that email it says Service Summary and your Liability coverage if you purchased any. This has helped me because otherwise it doesn't show anywhere else which is odd.

You can go to the sold listing and select Sell Similar. This will open the listing to start a new listing. The weight of the item would be there if you had input it to start with.

I just realized there is a way to prove you bought insurance with your shipping label. Simply go to your email account, there will be the confirmation of the purchase of the label. In the details of that purchase it will reflect the amount you paid for the insurance. I don't know of another way to prove you bought ins.

Correct, this is the only way I'm aware of as well.
