Does any one know how to file a UPS shipping claim for a label that is purchased through ebay? I used to be able to file a claim when labels were purchased on paypal but now with ebay, the UPS site states that I am not the shipper of this package. Thus it will not allow me to file a claim. Any help would be appreciated, however, if you are one of the ebayers that likes to answer all questions even if you do not know the answer, then please do not respond. It inhibits those that have the real answer from replying.

UPS tends to be the most difficult for claims. In most cases, unless the shipment was attached to a UPS account, you need to call them to file it.

UPS has been the easiest for us on damage claims.....but I use a direct account with UPS as its far cheaper that way than using a third party.

Therein lies the eBay trap. One of many.

You need to contact eBay customer service, @its_always_sunny_in_cleveland, and get them to file the claim. Hopefully you get a competent rep. I hear these claims aren't paid out very often. For future, better to ship on your own UPS account or (if the item value is worth it) buy the label on eBay but purchase insurance through a third party.
