I have a buyer who has won several auctions, and has asked me to combine shipping. No problem - BUT, if I try to combine the items, there's no way to calculate the new shipping charges (using the weights and dimensions like when creating a new auction). Ebay expects me to specify a discount to the shipping manually. I have no idea what the discount will be, so I can't combine the items and send an invoice to the buyer. And, I can't use the standalone shipping calculator (https://www.ebay.ca/shp/Calculator) to figure it out, because ebay won't tell me the buyer's location until they pay me the amount I don't know yet!
How do I get out of this mess?
Thank you for your help!

Hi @sentry_box . Use the option to "send invoice" and that will show you the buyer's location. Then you can calculate shipping based on that location, enter the new shipping amount on the invoice, and send it to the buyer. If you need more help let us know.

Thank you, that's what I needed. "Helpfully", the ebay shipping calculator I linked to also isn't working properly, so I had to create a draft auction with the weight, dimensions and buyer's country to figure out at least approximately what the shipping should be. I cannot understand why ebay has made this part of the process so obtuse and difficult!
Thank you again!

In what way is the calculator not working properly on your end @sentry_box ? It's working fine for me. Perhaps it's an issue with the data you input? Or maybe you're looking at retail rates instead of toggling to online discounted rates?

Wouldn't show any shipping options to the US. If I picked a different destination country it would work just fine (and show me both retail and discounted rates) with all the various shipping options, but if I tried to look up a rate to the US it displayed nothing.
Ebay could make this incredibly simple by including the shipping calculator on the "combine invoices" page and let you input the new weight and dimensions...

I see small and tracked packet options on the .ca calculator but it is missing expedited and xpresspost options. It is not set up to accept zip or postal codes for international locations which is unfortunate as we can't see what expedited or xpresspost costs will be for those services.

A link to the calculator exists on the send invoice page here on the .com site. I guess it's different over on the .ca site.
FYI there is a separate discussion forum for Canada community.ebay.ca where you can get assistance specific to your region.
