How can I cancel a return request for a return that isn’t shipped back yet?

So I ordered something from somewhere in China, and it isn’t scheduled to get to me for another month or two, which made me want to return it. So I filed a return request, and then when I got to the part that asks you to ship it back, I realized that I can’t return something that I don’t have yet. My question is, how can I cancel this return request? Whenever I go to the return details it just takes me to the same screen that says to mark it as shipped. What do I do?

If no action is taken it will time out on its own in about a month so just leave it alone.

You should have opened an "item not received" case after the last estimated delivery date. By opening a return request first it now shows that you have received the item and if you don't ship it back it will close in the buyer's favor eventually and you will lose your money. You need to call ebay customer service ASAP and tell them the situation and that you opened the wrong type of case and they should be able to correct it.

CORRECTION: By opening a return request first it now shows that you have received the item and if you don't ship it back it will close in the **SELLER'S** favor eventually and you will lose your money.
