How Does A Seller Issue a Partial Refund without a Return?

I sold an item and the buyer said it was damaged by shipping, so he wanted a small amount as a partial refund.  He doesn't want to return it, he just wants a few dollars.  So how does one actually issue a partial refund?  I can't find the answer to this question anywhere.  Thank you.

you can do it via the paypal transaction details

From your Paid and Shipped Orders page... choose 'Send Refund' from the blue drop-down menu to the left of the item. It'll open a page where you can choose the amount to refund.

You have to send money via paypal

I'm in Managed Payments, and I don't have to send money via PayPal. It's easy to partially refund.

You must have a different managed payments because I cant do it without a case opened.

Well, there's only the one MP system. I just played with a completed sale and the option is available to me.

Have you used the drop-down menu (underneath 'Leave Feedback') on the Paid and Shipped Orders page? 

If MP sellers are seeing different things on the eBay site, that could be a problem...

eBay does that all the time.

When they change pages, they roll it out to a small number of users ... then many more ... then a lot more ... finally everyone.

I agree with you monster-deals, I do not have the ability to do a partial refund from my managed payments.  This is absolutely frustrating.

If in MP, you should be able to go your seller hub, click on "see all orders" in the upper right corner, all orders will show up. To the left of each order is a drop down arrow. Click that and you will various options.

I see some people said can do it some not here.  I think people said can not with using old selling web page but people said can do it with the new selling web. 

I still using old one but when I need to do refund I switch to the new one and it work well.

I think ebay remove this function from the old one and try to push people to use the new selling page.

Not true. In MP "All Orders"-Pick the item-Drop down box- takes you to refund page.
