What's your longest transit package from this past holiday season?

Criteria:

Domestic package shipped within the US
Shipped any time from Thanksgiving to NYE

These are mine:

USPS First Class package - 50 days (December 7 to January 25)
USPS Priority Mail package - 36 days (December 2 to January 6)

I certainly have packages that took longer this past summer and in past years, too, but let's stick to the 2020 holiday season. There have to be others out there that can beat my holiday 2020 records. Let's have it.

I gotta have more cowbell.

The rest were all delivered, some several days past the estimated date, but still not bad. Only a couple went as long as three weeks. Most were delivered within estimated delivery or only two or three days after. Most of the stuff I sell goes First Class, and the funny thing is, the few books that I did send Media Mail made it fully within their delivery time.

Everything since the day after Christmas has been pretty much on time for me.

My record was not in the holiday season. I had a shipment that took 3 months from Minneapolis to Alabama

This season I've had about a 50/50 mix of packages delivered within 4-10 days and packages delayed more than 2 weeks.

That 50 day transit packaged mentioned above arrived in Philly on December 9th and didn't leave Philly until late yesterday. That city's sort facilities got slammed with Covid outages. I spoke with someone there who said they had to bring in USPS help from other locations - locations that didn't exactly have staff to spare.

The buyer got their package today and said that just last week they got all the Christmas sale ads in the mail. It's late, but they're finally shoveling out some of the backlog in PA.

I gotta have more cowbell.

USPS Priority Mail - 13 days

I also had several parcels, shipped via USPS Priority, take 7-9 days to arrive, but nothing close the the excessive delays you have experienced.

My worst was a first class mail package that arrived 1/23/2021 in PA after having been mailed 11/28/2020 in IL. That's about 56 days. And that was after opening 2 research cases and opening a missing mail request.

My most interesting delayed priority mail package was mailed in December from IL to VA and got routed to Guam and then Hawaii before finally being routed to VA taking 18 days.

I mailed one package Dec. 2 arrived January 6th. However, the customer needed it well before then. Tracking showed it going back and forth from the Akron and Cleveland USPS for a month. I had to refund the customer, luckily he trusted me enough to try again. I shipped UPS second day. I had no way to cancel the shipment, so when it arrived at customer's facility, he was nice enough to return the package to me. Lesson learned, use UPS and FedEx during holiday shipments.
